“A game in which the first half was ours,
playing good basketball, with good scoring, sharing the ball, with good
defense. In the second half, as was normal, Red Star began to press, they
pressed a lot, they brought out the most physical team they had, they started
to defend passing lines and it was a little more difficult for us to keep the
ball flowing. We have had some action with a shot that has not gone in that
would have been good for us with a header in those moments when they were
coming back and we have missed them after having played well. That made us more
doubtful at some point in the third quarter. In the last one we were serious,
doing what had more or less led us to victory. I think we could have put the
game away a little earlier with Brandon's layup that failed when he was left
alone, which would have put us up seven and the game was over. That has brought
a counterattack, a basket, the triple. We made the game difficult for
ourselves. I'm happy for the team, we needed the victory emotionally, it was
important for us. I am happy for Fonteta because after the last day they have
been pushing us the entire game and in the important moments they have once
again been incredible and impressive, not only with us, but also in the
protests. They have been ten. We are going to ASVEL, to try to recover everyone
physically. For the first time we almost had the entire team at our disposal.
It seems silly but when you have everyone you can train better, you can take
the discards by taking what you need. It was important after the two or three
weeks we have spent juggling, to be able to more or less have the entire team
today”
